Lila Louise Willis Horton Smith, 78, of Summerville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the graveside, Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery, Dorchester. Pastor Steve Mims will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Honorary pallbearers include Roger Dennis, Chase Evans, Griffin Dennis and Tanner Wheeler.

Louise was born in Summerville, South Carolina on August 4th, 1945.She was the daughter of John and Pearl Willis. She attended Dorchester public schools and was a long standing member of Limestone Baptist Church. Louise was a seamstress and enjoyed cooking, gardening and caring for others. She is survived by her daughters, Sherrell Horton of Summerville, SC, and Rose Holland of Pinewood, SC; granddaughters, Rebecca Dennis (Roger) of Milton, FL, Angela Evans (Chase) of Summerville, SC and Brittany Rawleigh of Summerville, SC; great grandchildren, Sierra, Griffin, Kelsey, Tanner, Gunter and Mary; great great grandchildren, Rylee, Rose and Karsyn and her cousins (like sisters), Mary Myers (Walter) of St. George, SC, Emily Crawford of Orangeburg, SC and Sarah Smith (Richard) of Dorchester, SC. She is also survived by her former spouse, Carroll W. Horton, Jr. of St. George, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos R. Smith.
