Sherril Lavon Shingler, 68, of Ladson, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Sherril Shingler are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 12 Noon, Friday, April 26, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Flowers will be accepted; home arrangements and green plants are requested. Sherril was born in Columbia, South Carolina on October 26, 1955. She was the daughter of Neal and Doris Ferguson. She retired as the manager from Enterprise Bank after 20 years of service. Sherril enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her significant other. She loved going on the lake, camping, riding motorcycles, going to the mountains, spending time at the beach and going on vacation with her family. After retirement, she picked up a new hobby making wreaths and floral arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Careyanne Cason (Robert), Lana Summerson (Warren) and Derek Vasquez (Aom); grandchildren, Joshua Bilton (Alicia), Jocelyn Summerson and Sophia Summerson; step grandchildren, Lanier Cason (Charlee), Mayna Judy (Garrett) and Noah Cason (Daniel); great grandchildren, Riley Smart, Brady Smart, Camden Bilton, Landry Bilton, Keegan Cason and Boone Cason; brother, Neal Ferguson (Rhonda); nieces, April Long (George) and Kelly Morris (John) and nephew, Quinn Kinard (Angel). Sherril was preceded in death by her father, Neal Ferguson; her mother, Doris Miley Ferguson; her grandparents, Mack and Chessie Miley and Corbet and Florrie Ferguson, as well as her brother Terry Kinard. The daughters will welcome family and friends after the service until 6pm at the home of Lana Summerson.
