Betty (Rawls) Unwin

Betty Rawls Unwin, 80, widow of David Lane Unwin, of Summerville, SC passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Summerville Monday, October 22, 2018 at 2 o'clock. Entombment will follow at Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be at Parks Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5 - 7 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fisher House www.Fisherhouse.org. 

Betty was born July 18, 1938 in Suffolk, VA, a daughter of Emmit Lafayette Rawls and Edith Freeman Daughtrey Rawls. She was a former teacher, past board member of Faith Sellers Senior Center, and an active member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

Survivors include her two sons, Andrew D. Unwin (Lisa) of Colorado Springs, CO, Donald W. Unwin (Kathleen) of Webster Groves, MO; one brother, Emmit Rawls (Betty) of Rockford, TN; two sisters, Edith Smith (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA, Susan Jones (Vaughan) of Montpelier, VA; and seven grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband, David L. Unwin and her parents, Emmit and Edith Rawls.
