The strongest man we have ever known, Burnett Brown, of Summerville, SC, husband of Clodis Mellard Brown, passed away February 25, 2018 at his residence.
Graveside Services will be Thursday morning, March 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Jedburg at 11 o’clock. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa, FL 33607.
Burnett was born March 26, 1934 in Berkeley County, SC, a son of the late Murrett J. Brown and Fannie E. Burbage Brown. He worked as a manufacturing supervisor and a lifetime farmer. He was a member of Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Clodis Brown of Summerville, Burnett leaves behind his daughter, Melanie K. Otting (Brent Logan) of Summerville; grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Lacey Rhett Tumbleston (Glenn), and Cody Brown; and great-grandchildren, Trace and Marlee Tumbleston. sister, Shirley Adkins; brother, Rembert Brown; Burnett is predeceased by his son, Murrett J. Brown; and fourteen brothers and sisters.
