Charles Kenneth Allen

Charles Kenneth Allen, 75, of Summerville, SC, loving husband of Nina J. Dukes Allen, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at his residence.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 o'clock Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Parks Funeral Home. The family will reassemble for a Graveside Memorial Service at 1:30 PM in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in his name to Frances Willis SPCA, PO Box 1116, Summerville, SC 29484.

Charles was born January 2, 1944 in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late James Linder Allen and Theresa Mims Allen. He was a Machinist for Charleston Naval Shipyard. He loved riding his Honda Goldwing, woodworking, and fishing. He will be missed by his constant companion, his cat, "Bootsie."

In addition to his wife, Nina Dukes Allen of Summerville, Charles leaves behind his brothers, Robert Milton Allen (Brenda), and Leonard Keith Allen (Linda), all of Florence; sister, Donnie Lillian Allen of Rock Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James and Theresa Allen, he is predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Elaine Allen; sisters, Theresa Faye Allen McGraw and Carol Hazel Allen Linder; and brother, James Linder Allen, Jr.
