Dianne (Muckenfuss) Yost

Dianne Muckenfuss Yost, 62, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at Summerville Baptist Church on Tuesday morning, December 5, 2017 at 11 o’clock. There will be a visitation at the church on Tuesday from 10 o’ clock until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to L.E.A.R.N. Dianne was born on June 17, 1955 in Fairbanks, Alaska, the daughter of Archie A. Muckenfuss and Frances Blanton Muckenfuss, but spent her whole life in the Summerville community. She graduated from the University of South Carolina’s nursing program. She was a labor and delivery nurse for 37 years at Trident Medical Center. Dianne loved her grandkids, family and friends, living life to the fullest travelling and spending as much time as she could with them. She loved horses and her cat, Folly Blu. Her strength and selflessness will live on through everyone she touched. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church.

Dianne is survived by her son, Justin Yost (Beth) of Johns Island; 4 daughters, Shelby Simpson (Grey) of Daniel Island, Ashleigh Yost, Carlyn Yost, both of Charleston, Ashley Clark (Terry) of Simpsonville, SC; 2 brothers, Archie Muckenfuss (Brenda) of Lexington, SC, Gordon Muckenfuss (Lisa) of San Antonio, TX; 1 sister, Sandra Russell (Bill) of Gaithersburg, MD; and 5 grandchildren, Tripp, Saylor, Gaby, Nicholas and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Yost, and her parents, Archie and Frances Muckenfuss.
