James “Jimmy” L. Dossey, 75, of Summerville, SC, husband of Linda L. Dossey, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Prayers of final farewell will be TUESDAY, January 9, 2018 at the Graveside at Summerville Cemetery at 12 Noon. Visitation will be at Parks Funeral Home TUESDAY at 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Jimmy was born October 12, 1942 in Glasgow, Kentucky, son of the late Lenora Gray and late Ernest Dossey. Jimmy was a member of Little Hope Baptist church in KY and a Master Mason, Lodge #231, Bear Wallow/Cave City. 

Jimmy enjoyed camping, wood burning and cooking. He made many dear friends while working at Robert Bosch in Charleston and his many trips to Germany. Since Jimmy retired, he and Linda have enjoyed many years of camping and traveling and making new friends wherever they went, that they have always considered family. He was a member of several camping clubs, including Palmetto Sunny Travelers, and enjoyed traveling with his dear friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Dossey, of Summerville; daughter, Kayethe Infinger (Clint) of Charleston; son, Robbie Dossey (Wendy) of Murrells Inlet, SC; four grandchildren, Josh France, Abby Dossey, Hayleigh Dossey, Mia Dossey; one great granddaughter, Peyton France (Squirt); two brothers, Allen Dossey (June) and Kelley Dossey. Jimmy is predeceased by two brothers, Danny Dossey and Kenneth Dossey.
