John C. Richardson, Jr.

John C. “Big John” Richardson, Jr., 54, of Summerville, SC, husband of Judie Bailey Richardson, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Funeral Services will be Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2018 at 3 o’clock at Knighstville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock in the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knightsville UMC, 1505 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483.

Big John was born September 4, 1963 in Summerville, SC, a son of John Richardson, Sr. and the late Margaret Knight Richardson. He worked as a mechanic with Westvaco Lumber Mill. He enjoyed fishing, football, hunting, and farming. He was a member of Knightsville UMC and B.S.A.

In addition to his wife, Judie Richardson, and father, John Richardson, Sr., John leaves behind two sons, Johnathan W. Richardson (Amber), and Joshua A. Richardson; brother, Raymond M. Richardson (Tammie); grandchild, Maddison Frick; and many nieces and nephews, all of Jedburg. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Raymond and Eula Knight, and Matthew and Maggie Richardson.
