Melissa Joy Hallman

Melissa Joy Hallman, 30, of Summerville, SC passed away Monday, February 5, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2018 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery. The visitation will be held Friday evening, February 9, 2018 at Parks Funeral Home from 6 – 8 o’clock. Flowers will be accepted.

Melissa was born September 25, 1987 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Marshall David Hallman and Margaret Joy Catterton Hallman. She graduated from the College of Charleston and was an IT Specialist with Saga Communications. Melissa enjoyed snow skiing and was passionate about all things “IT”. She loved all animals and sports, especially cycling. Melissa especially adored her precious nephew Lucas more than anything.

Survivors include her parents, David and Joy Hallman of Summerville; her two brothers, David Lucas (Rachel) Hallman of Summerville, Adam (Victoria) Hallman of Moncks Corner; one nephew, Lucas Hallman; maternal grandmother, Thelma Virginia Catterton; maternal grandfather, David Lamar Catterton, both of Summerville; paternal grandmother, Helen Hallman of Summerville; and several aunts and uncles.
