Michael Lee Mapes

Michael Lee Mapes, 67, of Summerville SC, passed away on Thursday May 10, 2018.

A gathering of family and friends was held, Saturday May 12, 2018 at Parks Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Michael was born on Wednesday, July 26, 1950, a son of George Edwin Mapes and Sylvia Ailene Maupin Mapes.

Michael served in the United States Navy and was employed as an Electrical and Industrial Sr. Project Manager. He was very active with the Summerville Miracle League.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Scarlett Allison Gainous and her husband Jason of Summerville and Ailene Nichole Davis and her husband Ryan of Holly Hill; two grandchildren, Melody Jones and her husband Joshua; two brothers Bob and Matt Mapes and one sister Gwen Zeigler.
