Michael "Stumpy" Linn Connelly

Michael Linn “Stumpy” Connelly, 66, of Summerville, widower of Abbie Law Connelly, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 6 until 8 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.

“Stumpy” was born on Wednesday, August 15, 1951 in Walterboro, SC, a son of Norma Maxcey Connelly and the late Vernon Harris Connelly. “Stumpy” was a softball player, an avid Gamecock fan, he coached youth sports, and enjoyed surfing at Folly Beach. 

“Stumpy” is survived by his mother, Norma Maxcey Connelly of Summerville; son Christopher Neal Connelly (Amanda) of Summerville; daughter Susan Neville Connelly of Charleston; brother Joseph Ralph Connelly (Melissa) of Harleyville; nieces, Kalayn and Kendall and nephew Griffin of Harleyville; grandsons, Jordan, Justin, Jarrod, and granddaughter, Jenna of Summerville. “Stumpy” is predeceased by his wife, Abbie Law Connelly, and his father Vernon Harris Connelly.
