Alice Petrescu Obituary
Alice Scott Petrescu, 85, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Canton, MA., loving wife of Dan Marion Petrescu, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 8, 2025 with her family by her side.
Alice was born September 20, 1940 in Washington D.C., the daughter of late Thomas Jefferson Scott IV and Barbara Alice Wood. She earned a bachelor's degree from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. She was a very hard worker and was a Marketing Specialist with Analog Devices for 26 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, music and book clubs. She donated to numerous
organizations and loved technology, shopping and chatting on the phone with all of her friends. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with family and friends at their Saco River House in Conway, NH. She absolutely adored her pets.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Dan Petrescu of Summerville, SC, Alice leaves behind her son, Bennett Petrescu and wife Monica of Lincoln, RI; and son Christopher Petrescu and wife Erin of Summerville, SC; and granddaughter, Sara Petrescu of Lincoln, RI.
Services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Alice's name may be made to Hearts for Summerville or Dorchester Paws.
