Alice Juanita "Nita" Baker Taylor

Alice Juanita “Nita” Baker Taylor, 90, a long-time resident of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2023, in Florida.

The relatives and friends of Nita Baker Taylor are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Entombment will follow at Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

Nita was born in Hopkins, South Carolina, on April 4, 1933. She was the daughter of George and Lucille Paul. She was the owner of Roy Alice Ceramics for many years.

She leaves behind her daughters, Linda McMurran (John), Regina Baker and Judy Riggins; granddaughters, Ashley Marie Filyaw, Megan Lajara and Mariah Jeffery as well as her great grandchildren, Juliana, Jude and Dylan. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther Wayne Taylor and Roy “Billy” Jerome Baker and her grandsons, Paul and Donnie Filyaw.
