Angela Jo Bray

Jo Bray, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Mary Cleo Beach Woolverton, of Charleston, SC. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Jo enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved planting new flowers and watching them grow. Jo loved the mountains as well as going to the lake. When at the lake, she loved riding on the pontoon boat and the jet ski. Jo loved the serene view that the lake brought, especially those afternoon sunsets.

She was married to the late Ernest J. Bray III. They had 2 children, John Wesley "Wes" Bray (Leslie Furst), and Angela J. "Angie" Brannen (Danny). She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Lauren Brannen, Briana Bray, and Russell Wood, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Angela was predeceased by her brother, Tommy Woolverton, and her grandparents, Charlie Beach and Angela Marie Hiers Beach. She was also predeceased by Annie Mae Crocket and Hennery Jason Woolverton.
