Anita Ramsey Alexander 93, of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 20, 2025 at her home. She was born in Summerville, SC, on September 7, 1931 and was a graduate of Summerville High School.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 1 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends the night before for a visitation from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery, 1128 Boonehill Road, Summerville, SC 29483.
She is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Alexander Chaplin, of Charleston SC, Christie Alexander Mason of Summerville SC, and Alexandra Altman-Card (Ted) of Orangeburg, SC, five grandchildren Christopher Mason (Marie) of Summerville, SC, Michelle Scott (JJ) of Adams Run, SC, Jonathan Chaplin (Dorathea) of Charleston, SC, Aaron Altman of Eutawville, SC and Ethan Altman (Jessie) of Eutawville, SC, three great grandchildren, Amanda Mason of Charleston, SC, and Harli Mason Stumph (Nolan) of Daniel Island, SC, and Emmy Mason of Summerville, SC, two great-great, grandchildren, Maddox Stumph, and Sutton Stumph, of Daniel Island, SC, two sisters, Edith Ramsey Livengood of Sumter, SC and Susan Ramsey Johnson of Summerville, SC, one sister-in-law, Katherine Jowers, of Asheville, NC, two son-in-laws, William Sineath of Summerville, SC and Steve Altman of Eutawville, SC and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Plato George Alexander and her father, Leo Wilson Ramsey Sr., mother, Clara Droze Ramsey and three brothers and four sisters.
Anita was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School Class and serving as a “Greeter". She loved her country and helped serve at the polls for many elections, and her favorite branch of the military was the U.S. Marine Corp in which her husband served. She also enjoyed knitting and antiquing. She was a homemaker and kept an open door of love and welcome for family and friends. She was loved my many and will be greatly missed.
