Ms. Ann Banks Weston, a devoted educator, loving mother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025.
A proud graduate of Summerville High School, Class of 1956, Ann earned her Associate’s degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She was a dedicated teaching assistant at Knightsville and Spann Elementary schools from 1979 until her retirement in 1998.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship among family and friends. She also had an appreciation for nature and beauty, which she expressed through her involvement with the Flowertown Garden Club.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gary Clark Banks, Sr., and Fannie Evelyn Salisbury Banks, as well as her dear brothers, Gary Clark Banks, Jr. (Janie) and Ronald Salisbury Banks (Patsy).
She is survived by her brother, James Marshall Banks (Bonnie), and her beloved children: Anne Weston Walker, John Fuller Weston, Jr. (Appleton), and Thomas Banks Weston. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren: Ephriam Brevard Walker IV, Ann Banks Walker Hupp (Stephen), Mary Appleton Weston, John Fuller Weston III, Harrigan Salisbury Weston, Kate Ryals Weston, and Swain McAleer Weston. She also leaves behind many treasured cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held on March 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Spell Chapel, followed by burial at Cypress Global Methodist Church in Ridgeville, SC.
