Audrey Ford Lee Bunch

Audrey Ford Lee Bunch, 86, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022, surrounded by family.

A private Graveside service for family will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Boone Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, 801 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29483. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2090 Executive Hall Road, #130, Charleston, SC 29407.

Audrey was born November 17, 1935, in Knoxville, TN, to the late William F. Ford and Ada Houser Ford. The youngest of eight children, Audrey and her family moved from the city to the beautiful, rural area of South Knox County, TN, when she was a baby. There, the family lived on a farm in a three-room log cabin until she was thirteen years-old, at which time, they moved into a larger home built by her father in the Neubert Springs community. She attended Young High School and had been a member of New Salem United Methodist Church. She married John F. Lee, of Martin Mill Pike, Knoxville, TN, in 1954, and his work in retail would take them all over the southeast, finally settling in Summerville, SC, where John died in 1974. Audrey would later marry the second love of her life, Carl G. Bunch of Summerville. They were married for 40 years, until his passing in 2018. Audrey was a member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed the teachings of the Rev. Billy Graham, playing the piano, gospel and country music.

Audrey is survived by three daughters, Debra Lee Barton, Nancy Lee, and Vicki Lee Davis, three stepdaughters, Sandra Bunch Bell, Nancy Bunch Richardson (David), and Robin Bunch Ewers (Bill), fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, one sister, Evelyn F. Goddard, and cousin, Robert A. Ford, of Knoxville, TN. Predeceased by her parents, her husbands, the late John F. Lee and Carl G. Bunch, siblings, Clifford A. Ford, Hazel F. Neubert, Frank. F. Ford, Lucille F. Goddard, Fred A. Ford, Henry B. Ford, and sons-in-law, Benjamin F. Barton, and Thomas A. Bell.
