Austin Lee McCabe

Austin Lee McCabe, 33, of Summerville, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The relatives and friends of Austin McCabe are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Memorial donations may be made in Austin’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project. Austin was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on March 6, 1990.

He was the son of John and Susan McCabe. He graduated from Remnant Christian School in 2008. Austin was proud of his work in the fire protection industry as a sprinkler fitter. He enjoyed comedy and action movies and shows especially Rick and Morty and Batman. He loved to make people laugh and spend time with his loved ones. Some of his favorite hobbies were listening to music, playing video games, going to the beach and working out. Austin enjoyed giving back to homeless veterans by buying them lunch whenever he had the opportunity. He was most proud of his children, with whom he loved and adored dearly. Austin will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and closest friends.

Austin is survived by his parents, Susan McCabe and John McCabe Jr.: children, Logan, Leah, and Landon; brothers, Trey and Trevor McCabe; his memaw, Hilda Walton; aunts, Sherry Hunter, Jean France, Jeannie Walton and Joanne Haught; his uncles, Greg Walton (Judy) and Jerry McCabe as well as his cousins, Brandy Hunter-Smith (Brenton), Laine Walden (Josh), Brandon Walton (Lindsay) and Abigail Hunter. He was preceded in death by his pawpaw, Franklin Walton; his papa, Jerry Hunter, Sr. and uncle Jerry “Buddy” Hunter, Jr., and Todd Walton.
