Avon "Skip" Bauman

Avon Charles “Skip” Bauman of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on May 30, 2023. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, November 18, 1940.

His father was in the Army so he lived in many places in the United States and Europe. He graduated high school in Mannheim, Germany in 1958. He went to North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia where he met his wife Faye Wright.

He spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician (submarine service). After retiring from the Navy he was CEO of The Software and Computer House and also worked as Post Allotment Accountant for the U.S. Department of State.

He was predeceased by his wife, Faye Wright Bauman, two sons Alan and Andrew Bauman, one granddaughter Chelsie Spelich, a brother, and a niece.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Bauman of Summerville, his brother-in-law Dennis Wright (Susan), nephew Carl Wright and niece Ivey Hill all of St. Augustine, Florida.
