Barbara Ilderton Mott

Barbara Ilderton Mott, 87, of Summerville SC, widow of the late Robert L. Mott, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

The relatives and friends of Barbara are invited to attend her funeral service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC, 29483. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Summerville Cemetery.

Barbara was born June 26, 1937, in Summerville, SC. She was the daughter of the late Ernest St. Clair Ilderton and Prudence Carter Ilderton. She was a graduate of Summerville High School. Barbara adored spoiling her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her sons, Sidney Mack Culp (Michelle) of Cliffside, NC and Stephen Todd Culp (Catherine) of Summerville, SC.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is predeceased by her brothers: Ernest Ilderton, Wilson Ilderton, Frank Ilderton; and her sisters: Mary Hacker, Gail Couch, and Carol Browning.

Throughout her life, Barbara worked in sales, enjoyed trips to the mountains and the beach, and relished the annual family reunions.

Ever the warrior, Barbara lived her life clinging to the old rugged cross…and she has now exchanged it for her crown.
