Billie Neal Hickerson

Billie Neal Hickerson, 84, of Summerville passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 1 o’clock at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. The family will receive friends for visitation the night before on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Billie was born on May 3, 1941, to the late Palmer and Gladys Hickerson. He served for 20 years as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Navy, from which he later retired. He then went on to work for Mobay Chemical, where he retired after 22 years as an electrical engineer. In his free time, he loved fishing, going on walks, doing puzzles, taking trips to the mountains, and attending family reunions.

Billie is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hickerson of Summerville, SC; sons, Gary Hickerson of Summerville, SC, Jeff Hickerson (Charlene) of Goose Creek, SC, Mike Hickerson (Regina) of Summerville, SC; brother in law, Kenneth Wright (Judy) of Lillian, AL; sister in laws, Mary Hickerson of Crothersville, IN, Harriett Hickerson of Crothersville, IN, Cherryl Shuler of Seymour, IN; father in law, Ed Wright of Seymour IN; grandchildren, Sarah Hickerson of Goose Creek SC, Leandra Hickerson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Autumn Hickerson of Summerville, SC, Weston Hickerson of Summerville, SC. He is predeceased by his parents, Palmer and Gladys Hickerson; brothers, Miles, Bob, Junior, Jack, and Jimmie; sisters, Mable Riley, and Dorothy Havener.
