Billy Ray Sanders

Billy Ray Sanders, 68, of Summerville, SC, beloved husband of Kathryn "K.C." Goodson Sanders, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning, November 17, 2021 at 11 o'clock in New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the churchyard. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials in Billy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org/donate.

Billy was born December 6, 1952 in Moncks Corner, SC, the son of L. Calhoun Sanders and Barbara Ann Smith Sanders. He worked as a carpenter and boilermaker, and was an avid Clemson football fan. He loved South Carolina history, nature, and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and children.

In addition to his wife, K.C. Sanders of Summerville, SC, Billy leaves behind his mother, Barbara Sanders; son, Matthew Sanders (Megan); daughters, Brandy Jackson (Dave) and Kylie Pokorny (David); brother, Tony Sanders; sisters, Janice Schafstall (Rick), Lou Anne Shortt (David), and Bonnie Hill; grandchildren, Savannah, Maxine, Sullivan, Weston, Avery, and Dylan, all of the above of Summerville, SC; and many other loved family members. He is predeceased by his father, L. Calhoun Sanders.
