Bobby James “Shug” Collins, 86, of Summerville, SC, passed away July 8, 2024 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 12 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 o’clock until the time of service in the Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers are accepted.

Bobby, or “Shug” as some knew him, was born November 30, 1937 in Chester, SC, the son of the late Avalona Clark and Holmes Westley Collins. He worked as a Gas Plant Operator at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

Survivors include his wife, Irma Seay Collins of Summerville, SC; two sons, Del Collins (Linda)of moncks Corner and Paul Collins (Pat),  of Lugoff daughter, Beth Hutchinson (Tim) also of Moncks Corner, SC daughter in law Lucielle Collins ;nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents; former wife, Lottie Collins; a son, Bobby J. Collins, Jr.; and three grandsons, Matthew Collins, Nathan Collins, and Mark Collins.
