Obituary
Brenda Jean Sweat, 60, wife of Bob Sweat, Jr., of Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
The relatives and friends of Brenda Sweat are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Givhan’s Pentecostal Holiness Church in Ridgeville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
Brenda was born in Hampton, Virginia, on January 15, 1963. She was the daughter of Robert Arthur and Joyce Cates. Brenda was a special education teacher for twenty years. She was very dedicated to all of her children and each of them held a place in her heart. In her spare time, she loved reading, sitting on the porch drinking a hot cup of coffee and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Sweat, Jr (P-nut); her mother, Joyce Young: her two sons, Robbie Sweat (Lisa) and Ricky Sweat as well as grandson Evan.
