Brian Matthew Donnelly

Brian Matthew Donnelly, 82, of Summerville, SC, husband of Diane Taxter Donnelly, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Services will be at a later date at St. Paul’s Anglican Church with burial to follow in the churchyard. Flowers will be accepted and a reception will be held after the burial at the church. Memorials in Brian’s name may be made to St. Paul’s, Tunnels to Towers, or the American Cancer Society.

Brian was born September 15, 1943 in New York, NY, the son of the late Matthew Donnelly and Marie Murray Donnelly. He retired in the insurance industry as an attorney.

Even though he stopped playing golf, he still enjoyed following the various tournaments. He was a lifelong Yankee’s fan and loved to read, especially crime mysteries. Brian was especially proud of his four sons. He felt blessed to be a member of St. Paul’s and cherished his church family.

In addition to his wife, Diane Donnelly of Summerville, SC, Brian leaves behind his sons, Scott Donnelly (Mindy) of Plain City, OH, Jonathan Donnelly (Jackie) of Newburgh, NY, Matthew Donnelly of Carlsbad, CA, and Ryan Donnelly of Summerville, SC; his brother, Neil Donnelly (Tonya) of Henderson, NV; and sister, Maureen Sipko (John) of Flushing, NY. He is predeceased by his parents.
