Carey Austin Nuzzolese

Carey Austin Nuzzolese, 42, of Ridgeville, SC passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was the loving wife of Joseph Adam Nuzzolese and a cherished mother.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Faith Church, 337 Farmington Road in Summerville. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of the service at the church. A Memorial Service will be held for her in NC at a later date. Carey was born September 20, 1983 in Monroe, NC, a daughter of Jimmy Dwight Austin and Gail Yvonne Aycoth. She worked as a Warehouse Manager and loved gardening, painting, crafting and baking. She also liked to swim, spend time in the hot tub, read her Bible, and take care of the chickens. Carey acknowledged and enjoyed all children, but above all, she took great pride in being a Mom.  

In addition to her husband Joe Nuzzolese of Ridgeville, SC, Carey leaves behind her parents, Jimmy and Gail Austin of Waxhaw, NC; son, Aiden Nuzzolese of Ridgeville, SC; daughters, Mikala Nuzzolese Barker and husband Kaleb of Rock Hill, SC, Ava Nuzzolese, and Sophia Nuzzolese, both of Ridgeville, SC; brothers, J.R. Austin of Wingate, NC and Derek Austin of Waxhaw, NC; and her mother-in-law, Laurie Nuzzolese of Monroe, NC. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Curtis Neil, Carolyn Lou Aycoth, Boyd James Austin, and Catherine Ruth Austin; and father-in-law, Peter Nuzzolese.
