Carol Jean Bailey

Carol Jean Bailey, 81, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 3 o’clock in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Old HWY 52, Moncks Corner. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Carol was born February 15, 1940 in Pierre, South Dakota, a daughter of Leonard Klingbeil and Elsie Arlene Walters. She did industrial work for Exxon, Mac Plastic, and Kwikset.

Carol leaves behind her children, Daniel “Danny” Stepp (Angie) of Dorchester, SC, Dorthy “Renni” Wooden of North Charleston, SC, and Kimberly Bailey Sasser (Nathan) of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, David Stepp, Adam Stepp, Yasmine Moshtael of GA, Courtney McBride, Lauren McBride, Abbygayle Sasser Vasquez, and Nicholas Sasser; and great-grandchildren, Devon Corley, McKinzie Johnson, and Alex Stepp. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene "Gene" Klingbeil. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth Klingbeil, Larry Klingbeil, Dennis Klingbeil, Ronald Klingbeil, Mary Reuser, and Betty Walden.
