Carol Pearle Bates, 71, of Chapin, SC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 3 o’clock at Knightsville Methodist Church, 1505 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers are accepted.
Carol was born on May 7, 1954, in Charleston, SC. She loved traveling with her late husband, Richard Bates, and had a deep appreciation for classic movies. Carol shared a special bond with each of her beloved dogs. Above all, she adored her grandchildren, spending countless days spoiling them and cherishing every moment together.
Carol is survived by her sons, Gregory Bates of Summerville, SC, Owen “Jeff” Bates (Megan) of Summerville, SC; sister, Freda Mixson (Ronald) of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren, Jamison, Millie Kate, and Wesley. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Bates; and parents, Owen and Evelyn Pearle.
