Caroline Myers Ivey

Caroline Myers Ivey, 80, wife of Charles Ivey, of Ladson, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 after a very sudden decline in her health. The relatives and friends of Caroline Ivey are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the graveside, Wassamassaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, on Tuesday, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Caroline was born in Moncks Corner on March 3, 1943. She was the daughter of Archie Andrew Myers and Rosalie Martha Clark Myers. Caroline attended Berkeley High School and worked with the Dorchester County School District Cafeteria program until she retired. She spent many of her years supporting her husband Charles during his Navy Career up until his retirement. Caroline always had a love for children and was a foster mother for many years before becoming a mother herself. Her daughter and grandchildren were her entire world and she would always do all she could to spend time with them. Caroline also enjoyed playing bingo, making and painting ceramics and dolls, sewing, doing puzzles, working in her yard with her plants and flowers amongst all of her Angels, and playing cards with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Douglas Ivey; her daughter, Denise Caroline Patton (Kevin); her grandchildren, Raegan Caroline Patton and Ryan Lee Patton, and her siblings, Janie Mae Shaw (Myers), Catherine "Tootsie" Gierman (Myers) and Dempsey Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Andrew Myers, Leon Myers, Eugene Myers, Levi Myers, Edward James "EJ" Myers, Christine Green (Myers) and Hazel Driggers (Myers).
