Carolyn Doris Cox

Carolyn Doris Cox, 67, of Bonneau, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Carolyn was born on November 14, 1954 in Newport News, Virginia and is the daughter of Rodney A. Grahn and Helen L. Powers. During her high school years, she married the love of her life Michael L. Cox who she would spend the next 49 years with. After high school, she would go on and pursue a career as an accountant. Carolyn loved going antique shopping and going to North Carolina to see the mountains. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Michael L. Cox of Bonneau, SC; daughters, Julie Deaton (Scott) of Bonneau, SC, Jennifer Carter of Bonneau, SC; brother, Mark Grahn (Janice) of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Cindy Martin (Vernon) of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Emily Cordrey, Cooper Deaton, Austin Carter, Allee Carter; great-grandchildren, Adeline Deaton; and family friend, Terry Madewell (Jackie) of Ridgeway, SC. She is predeceased by her father, Rodney Grahn; mother, Helen Powers (Charles) father in law, Charles Cox; mother in law, Shirley Cox; grandsons, Dakota Deaton, Harris Carter; and nephews, Tom Cox (Billie) and Kevin Cox.
