Carrie (Muckelvaney) Platt

Carrie Muckelvaney Platt, 83, of Ridgeville, SC, widow of the late John Platt, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be Thursday afternoon, February 4, 2021 at 2 o'clock at Givhans Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the family, c/o Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

Carrie was born November 29, 1937 in Ridgeville, SC, the daughter of the late Benny Muckelvaney and Laney Creel Muckelvaney. She was a homemaker.

Carrie leaves behind her daughters, Johnette Ready of Summerville, Rosie Tawes (Chuck) of Holly Hill, Lenora Gorski (Marty) of Ridgeville, Letia Chick of Summerville, Laurie Watson of Summerville, Tammy Byrd (Johnny) of Walterboro, and Althea Brodeur of Ridgeville; seventeen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her beloved dog, Scooby. In addition to her parents and husband, Carrie is predeceased by a grandson, Zack Muckelvaney and a brother-in-law, Tommy Ready.
