Cathy (Soles) Strickland

It is with much love and humble acceptance of God's will, that we announce Cathy S. Strickland, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at M.U.S.C.

Cathy was born May 12, 1948 in Tabor City, N.C., a daughter of Josh and Agnes Soles of Tabor City.  She was a wonderful 6th grade English teacher for more than 35 years.  She was a faithful member of Summerville Church of Christ for more than 40 years.  

Preceded in death by her husband Gary W. Strickland, her father Josh Soles and her brother Joseph Soles.

Survivors include her daughters TaLonna Teegardin and husband Bryon, Cember Hensley and husband Dean; her mother, age 90, Agnes Soles of Tabor City; her older brother, Danny Soles of Hope Mills, N.C.; two sisters Penny Hinson and Vickie Lovett of Tabor City; five grandchildren, Dustin Treadway, Dean Hensley Jr., Haley Hensley, Ryleigh Teegardin and Emileigh Teegardin.

We as relatives and friends of Cathy are deeply moved and greatful to God for the privilege of knowing her.  Through her life we truly experienced the love of God, the joy of salvation and the hope of heaven that Jesus Christ has prepared for all of us.  She was the best mother and grandmother in the world.

A Celebration of her beautiful Life is set for Sunday, October 7th at 2:00 pm at Summerville Church of Christ, 413 Old Trolley Road, Summerville S.C. 29485.  Memorials can be made to Summerville Church of Christ, 413 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
