Chad Edward Randall, 49, of Summerville, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Chad was born on November 10, 1974, to the late Larry Randall and Patrice Randall. He had an infectious laugh, a quick wit, and always was cracking a joke. He will always be remembered with a smile on his face unless he was "cranky" or "grumpy", as some of his friends may have called him. Chad loved all things car-related but had a special place in his heart for Volkswagens. He was a part of a car club called DCI-VW and they spent a lot of time raising funds for worthy causes. At the age of three he found his love for cars by collecting Matchbox Hot Wheels, which would turn into a huge collection. He also collected skateboards that he would build in his free time. Chad has been working on a project car, which his friends are going to honor him by finishing and displaying at future DCI-VW events. He loved music, except 311 (inside joke), and could be found tinkering in the garage listening to a variety of artists. He loved spending time with his nieces, whom he lived with, and would find joy in helping them learn to skateboard. This past year Chad has been in welding school, where in March of 2024 he would have graduated. He was a simple guy who loved a good fire pit, a double shot of Jameson on the rocks, and getting meaningful tattoos while on his adventures with friends. Chad will be missed immensely, not only by his family but by so many friends.
Chad is survived by his mother, Patrice Randall of Summerville, SC; sister, Erin Fluharty (Patrick) of Summerville, SC; nieces, Grace Fluharty of Summerville, SC, Brooke Fluharty of Summerville, SC; aunt, Candace Murphy-Skiba of Pine Ridge, FL; uncle, Michael Skiba of Pine Ridge, FL; The Scallan Cousin Crew of Pensacola, Florida. He is predeceased by his father, Larry Randall; and grandparents, William and Mary Murphy.
His friends have arranged a go-fund-me for any necessary costs and the remaining funds will be distributed between both of his nieces, Grace & Brooke. The link for the go fund can be found here: https://gofund.me/2b046a84
A Celebration of Life will be held in early spring in the Charleston area.
