Charles Blake, III Obituary

Charles Bertram “Chuck” Blake III, 59, of Summerville, SC passed away the evening of Friday, July 9, 2021 at his residence. Charles was born August 1, 1961 in New York City. He was a giving, caring, and kind soul, always offering up advice to his family. He was employed by Republic Services, Walmart, and Goodwill. He was an exceptionally hard worker, and earned the trust and respect of everyone that he met. Despite his disabilities, Charles lived independently most of his life. He enjoyed listening to his vast collection of action movies and talking about his car collections. Chuck is survived by his loving mother, Valera “Evelyn” Blake of Summerville, SC; youngest sister, Janet L. McLaughlin and husband Marty; nephews, Bradley and Brandon of Summerville; middle sister, Donna L. Blake; niece, Jennifer and husband Jason Chinnis, and their daughter Lainey of West Ashley; oldest sister, Laura A. Blake-Orr and husband Joe; niece, Shelley; nephew, Blake of Chapin, SC; special family member and god-sister, Stephanie Bower of TN; numerous cousins; two aunts; and many friends. Charles is predeceased by his father, Charles B. Blake, Jr. A graveside service will be held on July 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at Summerville Cemetery, 642 Boonehill Rd, Summerville, SC 29483.
