Charles “Chris” Christopher Shope, 73, of Summerville passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026.
Chris was born on November 14, 1952, to the late Charles and Irene Shope. Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, he graduated from Newberry High School and later earned his degree from the University of South Carolina. Chris worked for many years at Professional Printers, a job he truly enjoyed. He was a son, husband, father, brother, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by many.
Chris is survived by his son, Matthew Shope of Charleston, SC; sister, Jane Allen Shope of Waynesville, NC. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Irene Shope; sister, Patti Shope; and wife, Jane W. Shope.
