Claude Brogdon Rowe, Jr.

Claude Brogdon Rowe, Jr., 91, of Summerville, SC passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be Monday, February 24, 2025 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Spell Chapel at 12 o'clock noon. The family will receive friends from 11 o'clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery. Flowers are accepted.
Claude was born October 6, 1933 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Claude Brogdon Rowe, Sr. and Katherine Lesemann Rowe. He made his career at the Westvaco paper mill in North Charleston as a designer in the research lab. He also drew house plans for many beautiful homes in the Summerville area and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his memberships at Bethany United Methodist Church, Washington Hunting and fishing Club and the American Institute of Building and Design. He cherished time spent with his family and enjoyed being on Folly Beach.

Claude leaves behind his loving wife of over 67 years, Mary Frances Hutson Rowe of Summerville, SC; sons, Claude Brogdon Rowe III of Pickens, SC and Timothy Hutson Rowe (Deirdre) of Summerville, SC; daughters, Kimberly R. Harmon (Jimmy) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Mary Katherine Murphree of Hilton Head, SC, and Angela Frances Stritzinger (John William III) of Atlanta, GA; brother, James L. Rowe of Hilton Head, SC; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Randy M. Rowe; and sister, Katherine Rowe Dargan.
