Clifford "Ed" Savell passed away Sunday, July 31st, 2022 at his home in Summerville surrounded by his loving family and friends after living an extraordinary life.
Ed dedicated his career to the Coastal Center, the Charleston County police department and 20 years in the Navy, retiring as Senior Chief. Ed was active in his community with organizations like the Masonic lodge, Shriners club, and often would appear as Santa for organizations like Summerville Miracle League, and St. Luke's Children's center. Ed was a loving and dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and great Grandfather.
He is remembered by his wife Rustica "Rosie" Savell, his children Michael J. Savell (Teri), Michelle G. Savell (Toby Bragg), and Lou E. Savell (LeAnn); his grandchildren Daniel, Brittani (Jon), Jamie (Myranda), Jessica, Joshua, Jasmyn, Rustica, Garion, Christopher, Levi, Tiara, Chase, Amelia, Blake, Lilly, and Cash; as well as his 26 great grandchildren, and multiple loved friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis Elmer Savell and Ethel Case Savell, his Mother Grace Louise Wagner Savell, his Father Lorin Lamar Savell, as well as his sister Gaile Patricia (Savell) Marshall and his Brother Michael Savell.
A viewing and memorial will be held on Saturday August 6th, 2022 at Parks Funeral Home in Summerville, SC from 5pm-7pm for those that would like to pay their last respects and reminisce with family and friends. Flowers are welcome, but if wanted in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Summerville Miracle League in his honor.
