Clodis Mellard Brown

Our precious Clodis Mellard Brown, 83, of Summerville, SC went to be with Jesus on Friday December 6, 2024.

Graveside services will be Tuesday December 10, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Jedburg at 12 noon. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1st North St. Summerville, SC 29483. Clodis was born in Montgomery, AL on September 2, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Eugene S. and Rubye C. Mellard.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved to go fishing and play softball. She would always say she hoped heaven had a softball team so she could head it up.

Clodis leaves behind her daughter Melanie Otting (Brent) of Summerville; Brother David Mellard of Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren Brandon Brown and Cody Brown of Summerville, and Lacy Blewer (Cody) of Cottageville; Great Grandchildren Trace Tumbleston, Marlee Tumbleston and Sebastian Blewer, all of Cottageville. She also leaves behind her precious dog Pearl Grace and cat Skeeda, more affectionately known as Thibodeaux. She is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Burnett Brown, son Murrett Brown, brother Eugene S. Mellard Jr., sister Doris G. Hall, son in law Lamar Otting and brother-in-law Salvatore Marino.
