Clyde Atherton Rogers, 80, of Summerville, SC, husband of Linda Guastella Rogers, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2018 at 4 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 o’clock until the time of service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Clyde’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 174 East Bay St, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29401.
Clyde was born December 28, 1937 in Lynn, MA, the son of the late E. Arnold Rogers and Gladys Blanche Atherton Rogers. He honorably served in the US Navy and retired as a Planner from the Connecticut Department of Transportation. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and sports fan, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Linda Rogers of Summerville, SC, Clyde leaves behind his son, Kelly Rogers of Southington, CT; daughters, Kimberly Mauro of Manchester, CT and Monica Rogers of Meriden, CT; sister, Cynthia Clark of Middletown, CT; sisters-in-law, Ann (Tom) Brinkerhoff and Deborah Kondracki (Art Nelson), all of Summerville; grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Cross, and Emmely Rogers, and three others; great-grandchild, Emmett; and nieces and nephews, Melissa Vosgien (Joe Patrizzi), Susan and Franklin Butler, and Travis Vosgien; and great-nephews, Leo Butler, and Wyatt.
