David Appler Obituary

David A. Appler, 79, husband of Margaret “Peggy” Appler, of Dorchester, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020.

Dave was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 3, 1941. He was the son of Herbert and Cleo Appler. Dave was stationed in Miami where he served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1959-1963. He remained in Miami, Florida where he met Peggy, married, and raised their family there. They later retired to South Carolina in 2002. Dave worked for and retired from Florida Power And Light after 39 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Dave is survived by his wife Peggy; daughters, Connie and Cathy; their spouses Billy and Joe; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jon, and Jaycie; their spouses/fiances, Adrian, Si, and Marc; great grandchildren, Madalyn, Sabrina, and Megan. Dave is also survived by three sisters, Saundra, Jean, and Terri. He was predeceased by his sisters, Sharon, Patty, and Jackie and parents Herbert and Cleo.
