David Morris Lawson

David Morris Lawson, 57, of Summerville passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4 o’clock to 6 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Flowers are accepted.

David was born on November 9, 1965 in Key West, FL and is the son of the late Charles L. Lawson and Wilma M. Moore. During high school, David spent most of his time in the Summerville High School Band where he would then end up meeting his future wife, Dawn Lawson. After high school, he started taking classes at The University of South Carolina. He had many different hobbies; David loved to go bowling, play football, cook for his family and friends, and had a passion for music. He was one of a kind, and will be missed dearly by many.

David is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Lawson of Summerville, SC; son, Tanner R. Lawson of Summerville, SC; daughter, Carson L. Lawson of Summerville, SC; brother, Charles L. Lawson Jr. of Columbia, SC. He is predeceased by his father; Charles L. Lawson; mother, Wilma M. Moore; sisters, Victoria Almaguer, and Lynn M. Newkirk.
