David Wayne Simpson

David “Wayne” Simpson, 71, of Summerville, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.

The relatives and friends of David Simpson are invited to attend his visitation from 2 o’clock to 3 o’clock on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Parks Funeral Home, 130 W. 1^st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Funeral Service will follow at 3 o’clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel going to Summerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Parks Funeral Home for the services of David Simpson.

David was born August 27, 1950 in Harlan, KY. He was the son of William Rogers and Della Mae Engle. He loved watching NASCAR and the buckeyes play football. He also enjoyed watching girls’ softball. David was a great coach, enjoyed going to church and showing his love for the lord, but most importantly he was a family man and made sure everyone was cared for.

David is survived by his wife, Lenora Simpson of Summerville, SC; mother, Della Mae of Summerville, SC; sons, Rodney Simpson (Lori) of Williamsburg, MI, Jamie Simpson (Debbie) of Dayton, OH; and daughter, Deanna of Summerville, SC. David has 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father, William Rogers, and granddaughters Miranda and Kayla.
