David Harold Stover, 71, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026.
Born on December 5, 1954, David was the son of the late Harold and Emma Stover. He was a devoted follower of Jesus, a proud United States Navy veteran, and an avid sports fan who passionately supported Detroit teams. Known affectionately as the family clown, David had a remarkable sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to make others laugh. His quick wit, warm heart, and love for family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
David is survived by his sons, David H. Stover Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, and Johnathon Stover of Salem, Oregon; his daughters, Melissa Cianteo of St. Johns, Florida, and Ashley Morgan of Salem, Oregon; his brother, James Stover of Chesapeake, Virginia; his best friend and brother-in-law, Nathaniel Brown of Summerville, South Carolina; his sisters, Sandra Noecker of Cocoa, Florida, Cheryl Stover of Linden, Michigan, Brenda Bryant of Summerville, South Carolina, and Donna Brown of Summerville, South Carolina; and his longtime companion, Janis Calaba of Salem, Oregon. He also leaves behind 10 beloved grandchildren and 8 cherished great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Stover.
