David Richard White

David Richard White, 64, of Summerville passed away peacefully after a long battle with kidney failure.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5300 Rivers Ave STE 2, North Charleston, SC 29406 or Dorchester Paws, 136 4 Paws Lane, Summerville, SC 29483.

David was born on June 11, 1959 to the late Frank and Angela White. He attended Lehigh University and received his Bachelors in history, and then would go on to law school at the University of Dayton, and then George Washington Law School where he received his LLM in government contracts. He had a long career as an attorney that would evolve to him writing articles which were published in various Legal Publications. David was one of a kind, he had a special soul and would light up any room that he walked in. He thoroughly enjoyed reading, traveling to different museums, going to LegoLand, tasting good food, along with writing and researching. He was always up for a challenge and enjoyed anything that would get his brain going. After being diagnosed with kidney failure 23 years ago, he never let that hold him back. David would constantly remind himself and his family that “it’s not what I can’t do, it’s what we can do to keep moving forward.” He loved his wife and daughters more than words could describe and will be missed dearly by many.

David is survived by his loving wife, J Suzanne Kite of Summerville, SC; and his minor daughters, Lilybet C. White and Makayla S. White. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Angela White.
