David Reese Wilkes, Jr., 44, of Ladson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023.
Memorial Services will be Monday, December 18, 2023 at 12 o’clock noon in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to his children, c/o Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
David was born September 29, 1979 in Boston, MA, the son of David Reese Wilkes, Sr. and Linda Gail Wiggins. He made a career in construction and carpentry, and loved working on cars, fishing, and going on walks. He also enjoyed meaningful car rides and music and concerts. David loved spending time with his family and making memories with his son.
Survivors include his parents, David Wilkes, Sr. and Linda Wilkes of Ladson; his son, David Wilkes III of Summerville; daughter, Destaney Metts of St. George; sister, Erica Wilkes-Keegan of Summerville; and the love of his life, Amy Collins.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
