Debra Jo Tumbleston, 65, passed away peacefully at her home on March 5, 2024.
Graveside Services will be Friday morning, March 8, 2024 at 11 o’clock in Boone Hill United Methodist Cemetery. Flowers are accepted.
Debbie Jo grew up in Summerville and spent most of her life living on the family “compound.” She had many loves in her life, including her Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the beach, family adventures, and supporting countless nieces and nephews as they grew up. Of all things, family was most important to her.
She is survived by her nieces Melissa Wheeler Black (Chuck) and Rev. Paige Wheeler, her beloved dog Cooper, and countless family members and friends she loved dearly.
Debbie Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Miriam Tumbleston, her sister, Donna Tumbleston Wheeler Badgley, and her brother-in-law, Wayne Wheeler.
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.
