Demetria Bataan Capers, 84, of Summerville, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024.
The relatives and friends of Demetria Capers are invited to attend her Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Burial in Beaufort National Cemetery will follow at a later date.
Demetria was born in the Philippines on November 13, 1939. She was the daughter of Enocenio and Valeriana Bataan. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the flea market and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Jerod Capers; her sisters, Mary Armstrong and Rose Morris; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Demetria was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence James Capers and her parents.
