Derek Hardy Obituary
Derek James Hardy, 91, of Summerville, SC, loving husband of Diana Jean Hardy, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at his residence.
Memorial Services will be Saturday morning, December 14, 2024 at 11 o’clock at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Derek’s name may be made by visiting www.standupandplayfoundation.org.
Derek was born June 21, 1933 in London, England, the son of the late Percy Hardy and Lily Simmonds Hardy. He made a career in professional golf and was a member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and traveling.
In addition to his wife, Diana Jean Hardy of Summerville, SC, Derek leaves behind his son, Darren Hardy of Summerville, SC; daughter, Doneen Hardy Frohlich, also of Summerville, SC; sisters, Mai Felix of Menifee, CA and Shirley Padley of Tunbridge Wells, England; and three grandchildren.
