Dorothy Shortt Obituary
Dorothy Lorraine Shortt, 81, of Summerville, SC, widow of the late Clarence L. Shortt, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 12 noon in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 o’clock until the time of service in the Chapel. Flowers will be accepted.
Dorothy was born February 24, 1942 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was a homemaker, and loved working with ceramics, crocheting, sewing, and doing puzzles.
Survivors include her son, David A. Shortt and daughter-in-law, Lou A. Shortt; daughter, Brenda L. Shortt; her beloved cat, Shorty; grandchildren, Krista N. Shortt, Mitchell B. Shortt, Jared A. Shortt, and Hayden M. Shortt; and a great-grandchild, Asher Paul Liberty. In addition to her husband, Clarence L. “Shorty” Shortt, Dorothy is predeceased by a son, Clarence B. “Buddy” Shortt; and her parents, Leslie and Annie Terry.
