Duard “Butch” Spencer Nunnally, Jr., 79, of Summerville, SC passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at his residence.
Visitation will be Friday morning, October 17, 2025 from 10 o’clock until 11 o’clock at Parks Funeral Home. The family will reassemble in Florence National Cemetery at 2 o’clock for a graveside service with Military Honors, 1001 Stockade Drive, Florence, SC 29506. Flowers are accepted or memorials in his name may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation by visiting hpcfoundation.org.
Butch was born July 4, 1946 in Atlanta, GA. He dedicated 17 years to the South Carolina Department of Corrections, and honorably served in the United States Air Force for 26 years before retirement. He loved fishing and hunting, but he especially took pride in watching the Georgia Bulldogs win.
Butch leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn J. Nunnally of Summerville, SC; son, Brant C. Shyrigh (Dianna) of Lebanon, MO; daughter, Tameron M. Voss (Justin) of Warrenton, VA; sister, Elizabeth Jean Nunnally Millender of CT; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father, Duard Spencer Nunnaly, Sr.; mother, Mary Catherine Murray; a son, Duard Spencer Nunnally III; and sisters, Patsy Joan Nunnally and Harriet Jane Nunnally Schuss.
